[Bug Fixes]

There are no links in the email when sharing files via email in Gallery mode.
Fails to login to Photo Station if the account name contains spaces.
The coordinates data displays "N/A" when switching to Gallery Mode in Photo Station 5.
Fails to save the time/date of modifying files in Photo Station 5.
The system fails to load Pixlr Editor / Pixlr Express.
Fails to connect to the NAS via PC when using the QL2TP-IPsec app.
Fails to connect to the NAS via mobile devices when using the QL2TP-IPsec app.
Fails to set up WordPress (displays a "wp-config.php" error).
If the default folder has a long name, the Congratulations page is abnormally displayed.
An error message "NAS can not connect to a remote server." is displayed when opening a Thunder download.
Virtualization Station 2.0 cannot be installed on the TS-879 Pro.
The What's New screen is incorrectly displayed when launching Virtualization Station in IE11 or Firefox.
Fails to log into the web page with SSL in Virtualization Station.
Fails to upload a folder or add folders in File Station.
An error message "Failed to generate thumbnail." is displayed after uploading PDF files to File Station.
Cannot display folder information of remote space when mounting specific Google Drive accounts in File Station.
The external connection configurations becomes corrupted, causing the myQNAPcloud App in QTS to hang after users connect to QTS from the myQNAPcloud portal site.
When remote mount is set to "admin only", the File Station toolbar still shows remote mount buttons for normal users.
When large files are drag & dropped from the local NAS to remote FTP, the size and number of these files will be incorrectly displayed in the background tasks.
The HS-210 cannot launch the diagnostic tool.
Hard drives cannot be put on standby after installing Connect to Cloud Drive.
When the Network Recycle Bin is disabled, enabling then disabling an installed app in the App Center will cause the Recycle Bin will appear for few seconds.
When uploading a large number of files to the NAS using FileZilla (FTP-TLS), the connection becomes unstable due to a memory leak (ProFTPD vulnerability).
If a shortcut to the desktop is created using the system menu in the upper-left corner, it will be displayed as blank after upgrading the firmware from 4.1.4 to 4.2.0.
The Spanish is incorrect in the Create Shared Folders page.
Fails to browse external pages after the OpenVPN is successfully connected.
Pausing a download in Download Station and then upgrading the firmware will cause the download to appear completed.
After upgrading to firmware 4.2.0, disabling and then enabling WebDAV will cause QTS to display a "[Web Server] Started failed" message.
Clicking the Share Now button will display an "Unknown Error" message when sharing links via email.
The SSL certificate (even if installed) will also be removed if the myQNAPcloud SSL Certificate app is removed.
The detailed thumbnail mode (unavailabe in QTS 4.2) is still active after upgrading to QTS 4.2 from an earlier firmware version.
Selecting a blue background color for the desktop in firmware 4.1.4 and then upgrading to 4.2.0 will change the background color.
Unable to hibernate after shutting down all NAS services.
Fails to connect with NetDrive2 in WebDAV if there are spaces in the folder name.
An error message "Fail to update RSS feeds (0x6013)" will be displayed when adding new RSS (https://kat.cr/movies/?rss=1).
Unable to add NAS in VSphere Plugin.
Upgraded from MySQL to MariaDB version 5.5.44 (excluding the TS-x21, TS-x20, TS-x19, TS-x12, and TS-x10 series). Before upgrading to QTS 4.2.0, please ensure your applications are compatible with the new version of MariaDB.
Upgraded MySQL to version 5.1.73 for the TS-x21, TS-x20, TS-x19, TS-x12, and TS-x10 series. A MariaDB app is available in the App Center, but the app does not support InnoDB.
Fails to check the file system (and cannot unmount the disk) after establishing a Google Drive remote connection in File Station.
After encountering an abnormal disconnection in the VPN Client, it will fail to establish a connection by clicking on "Connection".
When installing the Multimedia Extension Pack QPKG when the DLNA Server is disabled, it fails to change the setting from the DLNA Server ("Selecting a default account").
Fails to establish an L2TP connection using Mac OS.
Fails to send a test email for some SMTP servers.
A segfault occurs in libuLinux_hal.so if the RAM brand name is over 32 characters.

Known Issues
Warning messages are only displayed in English or Chinese on the Enclosure tab, Firmware Update tab, and during the Add Server process.
QTS System Status displays a different CPU temperature from the Q’center > Enclosure Tab and General Tab (difference of 1 degree Fahrenheit).
The column titles used in Q’center > Server > Enclosure varies between reports. (Some reports are titled 4 weeks, some reports 1 month).

W stosunku do poprzedniego builda.... moje dwa zewnętrzne dyski USB, są teraz teoretycznie widoczne, bo przy obu widnieje napis "Nie zainicjowany". Jedyną metodą "zainicjowania" jest chyba sformatowanie, bo nic innego nie widzę (chodzi mi oczywiście o możliwości z poziomu Qnapa). Co ciekawe pokazywany jest prawidłowo system plików (NTFS) i zajętość, jednak dyski są niewidoczne w File station, a także nie są udostępniane, jak to było przed update.....
Wycofuję się właśnie do poprzedniego buildu - zobaczymy jaki będzie efekt.

Po powrocie do builda 0716 - dyski znowu są widoczne prawidłowo.

A i jeszcze jedna ciekawostka - tym razem pozytywna. W identycznych warunkach na buildzie 0716 - zajętość procesora około 50% (z resztą rzadko schodzi na nim poniżej 40%), a na buildzie 0819 - zajętość poniżej 10% (czyli tak jak było w poprzednim QTSie).

Czy zasadny jest wniosek ze lepiej nie dotykac qts 4.2 beta do czasu wersji finalnej?

Jeśli chodzi o moje potrzeby, to poprzedni build 4.2 jest lepszy od 4.1.4.
Wszystko chodzi naprawdę dobrze, ale jak widać build buildowi nie równy i zawsze można coś popsuć.

U mnie standartowo .. na wczesniejszej becie po okolo miesiacu UPS znow zacal znikac .... a na nowym tez go nie widac

.
Oczywiscie w consoli przy poleceniu lsusb jest widoczny ale QTS .. jak zwykle jest uposledzony.
Poza tym ... sypnal mi sie system plikow .. i od 2h w QTS wisi na 1% (wolumin z systemem) - sprawdzanie.
Poki co wiecej nie udalo mi sie przetestowac :|

U mnie występuje problem z Download Station - póki co przez zdalny pulpit. Wyrzuca mi błąd: treść uszkodzona. Przeinstalowanie nic nie dało.
Jak wrócę do domu to sprawdzę lokalnie.

U mnie minal problem z systemem plikow ale pojawil sie problem podczas sciagania update do aplikacji, ktore sciagaja sie wieki i sie nie sciagnely.

Lokalnie download station działa ok. Za to nie działa zarządzanie uprawnieniami dostępu do katalogów. Co gorsza, NAS zaczyna mi odmawiać dostępu np do photo station pomimo zalogowania jako admin.
I teraz prośba o informację, czy mogę bezpiecznie zrobić downgrade do 4.1.4 Build 0522?

Mi na mojego buga napisali:

Dear,

1) with 4.2.0 beta, please go to app center and send us the dump log file by using the "Diagnostic Tool App"

2) then downgrade to 4.1.4 build 0820, please downgrade manually the firmware version to 4.1.4 Build 0820, you can download 4.1.4 Build 0820 firmware from - Download :: QNAP
Unzip the firmware file you downloaded, then Log in as admin to web interface of NAS -> Control Panel >System Settings > Firmware Update > Firmware Update -> Click the browse button to select the firmware image for system update. Click the update system button to update the firmware.
Please reboot the NAS to free the memory before you go update the firmware.

3) help us to perform the same steps you did with 4.1.4 build 0820 to see if the issue still persists or not
