Attention
It is not possible to transform SqueezeBoxServer qpkg's older than 7.6 or ssots based installations older than 4.12 with this QPKG.

[Name]
Logitech Media Server (or LMS for short)

[Description]
LMS is the server software from Squeezebox (formerly Slim Device) that manages common digital audio formats (.mp3, .flac, .ogg, etc.), photos and videos, and streams them to its players. This LMS QPKG is a combination of SSOTS (made by flipflip) and Logitech Media Server. It gives you a one-click install solution, without the need to download and install Logitech Media Server yourself. If needed the SSOTS software is adapted to get LMS working as a qpkg.

[Version]
7.7.2

[Maintainer]
SL1000

[Known Issues]
- The qpkg plugin page sometimes hangs on "enabling package" after clicking enable. just wait for about 30 seconds and then close the page. The package will work fine.
- The X19 package will fail on an x19 nas with old firmware (<3.20), because it cannot determine the right cpu architecture. Upgrading the nas to a new firmware fixes this issue.
- Sometimes the music(folder) is not visable, when using advanced user rights. Many thanks to Spag for the following solution:
1. Download and install WinSCP: http://winscp.net/
2. Log in to the QNAP NAS with admin user and password
3. Navigate to your music and playlist root folder(s)
4. Right click the folder(s) and set the octal settings to "0770" and set group, owner and permissions recursively. The most important thing is, that you set the group to "everyone [100]" and the owner to a local user, that is not the admin. If the group and owner are admin, squeezebox will not find any files.
5. Set the correct music and playlist folders in the Squeezbox Server's settings page.
(6) If your music files is in a subfolder and not in the root of a share, you might have to manually edit the path to the music folder and the playlist folder in the Squeezebox Server's settings page.
7. Scan the music library and wait. It should find all your files now.

[Remarks]
- Keep in mind the SSOTS, SBS and LMS QPKG are in essence almost the same and can never exist side-by-side on the same QNAP NAS, so if you two or more QPKG icons on the same system, something has gone terribly wrong and you'll probably need to uninstall both packages to get your music playing again. (no the two really don't mix, period)
- if you install LMS, it will "transform" your current ssots (>= 4.12) or SBS (>= 7.6) qpkg to LMS, Keeping settings intact.
- On slow, low powered nas systems like the x10 or x12-series, this package can take over 3 minutes to install, and another minute or so to get all the services up and running after it tells you the installation has finished. Please be patient and give the little box time to cope with this big package.

Hi Silas
unfortunately all your links are down. but maybe you can help me, that would be awesome :)
following situation:
I used Logitech Media Server (former squeezebox server) on my NAS QNAP TS-212 together with my logitech squeezebox duet controller for many years now . Yesterday i bought a new NAS: QNAP-TS 534A. i tried to run LMS on the NAS but its not supportet by QNAP anymore. ok, so I tried to install an older version of LMS (version 7.7.2)....without succes: the following message occuried: wrong architecture.

unfortunately i have no idea what that means and which architecture is the right one, nor where i can download it.
would be awesome if you could help here.
im using my QNAP-TS-534A together with a Windows 10 Notebook.
many thanks in advance.
best wishes from switzerland
Luk
