It is not possible to create incremental backups on FAT or NTFS formatted volumes.
Currently there are no shares will supported with blanks in their names. Subfolders and files are not affected. This is a limitation of rsnapshot.
The dependencies IPKG Perl and IPKG-e2fsprogs be installed if needed. Therefore, it is possible that the progress bar stops at installing a longer time at 50%.
Important: Rsnap respectively rsnapshot saves by default settings soft links themselves, but not the linked file or folder.
This QPKG is an interface for the backup software "rsnapshot" with some extensions.
A possible installation of rsnapshot is not affected.
It is possible to save on internal volumes. You have to create on the internal volime a share, that begins with "HDDIntern".
After installation and activation is 'rsnap' is accessible via http://NASNAME:8080/rsnap/ or http://NASIP:8080/rsnap/.
Login with user "admin" and password "admin". Please change the password after first login.
Because of some problems with MS IE8 and Chrome, I recommend Firefox for use rsnap.
Changes in version 3.1.2
- NEW: rsnap in Italian (thanks to Giorgio)
- FIX: Problems with the display of icons
- FIX: various problems with "/ opt/lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.8"
What is new in the version 3.1.1?
- The most importent change is a additinal backup method, Front USB Plug-in short FUPi.
An external volume to the front USB port can be configured so that every time you reconnect the hard drive, a previously defined backup is running.
FUPi is optically and visually signaled. Beginning of the backup (short beep), while the backup (status LED flashes), end of backups (long beep).
It is possible several FUPi's on the same ext. volume to run. These are then processed sequentially.
Therefore offering FUPi a good alternative choice to "USB One Touch Copy".
