Tried a TS212 a while back which was unreliable - reboots, web interface not responding..etc so I took it back to the store. A year later, Qnap TS-431 and all I can say is that it deserves to go back as well. Cloud install of firmware failed. Registration at start.qnap.com fails. Its been 1 hour of a firmware update through the web gui and I've got no status bar, no update. Web interface is unresponsive almost the moment I get into it. Wow just wow. I'm sorry but I'm just going to end up building an atom based PC an run Freenas even if it costs more. Never had any silly issues like this with freenas - or unraid for that fact.
