Applied NAS models: For the NAS models using UEFI BIOS

- How to create a UEFI USB boot disk:
- Plug a USB flash drive to your PC. Please format the USB flash drive as FAT32.

- Do wnload the EFI utility from the link below:
http://download.msi.com/nb_drivers/ap/efi.zip
- Extract the downloaded file and save the folder, [efi] into the root directory of USB flash
drive.
- Copy BIOS files into root directory of USB flash drive. Ex:
- Plug a USB flash drive to your PC. Please format the USB flash drive as FAT32.
- How to use USB boot disk to flash NAS BIOS:
- During the NAS bootup, hit F7 key to enter boot option screen and select UEFI: USB flash
drive model name below. Ex: UEFI JetFlashTranscend 32GB 1100, Partition 1
- Check the device name of the USB flash drive

corresponding device. Ex: Shell > fs6:
- Execute *.nsh file which exists in the BIOS file to start flashing BIOS.
Ex: fs6:\> QZ14AR54.nsh
- Press “ E ” to start updating entire ROM and exit.
- Once it is done, please press and hold the power button to shutdown NAS and then power
on the NAS again.
- Done.
- During the NAS bootup, hit F7 key to enter boot option screen and select UEFI: USB flash
