Hi I wonder if anyone could guide me to connect to this great program via nzb360.

I have managed to access it from android via transdroid following forums guide

Aplikacje na telefon - rtorrent-Pro - Android Mobile/Tablet notifications & management client

But in nzb360 I am using this configuration with no success:

torrent client:

rtorrent/rutorrent

Primary conection address:

https://myUserName:myPassword@qnap.ddns.com:6008

rutorrent Username

myUserName

Rutorrent password:

myPassword

path to XML-RPC

/RPC2

Anyone has an advice on how to diagnose the issue?

Hi, team viewer going to be problematic. This app is on phone. It doesn't matter what to choose it cannot connect. Screenshot_20221010-154546.png

Seems like there is some issue when trying to authorize.
Once removed last line in /usr/bin/rtorrent/etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf:
INI:
include "conf.d/auth.conf"
and did:
Bash:
/usr/bin/rtorrent/etc/init.d/lighttpd restart
nzb360 can connect.

I even checked connection through cached httprpc and seems to be working too.

I really dont get why it does not work while there is a digest password required.

Anyway you can disable password protection for /RPC2 but its dangerous! And Rtorrent WebUI should not be forwarded outside.
To do this edit: /usr/bin/rtorrent/etc/lighttpd/conf.d/auth.conf
Find:
INI:
$HTTP["url"] !~ "^(/css/.*|/errors/.*|/fonts/.*|/img/.*|/js/.*|/qpxinclude/.*|/share/.*|/stream/.*|/tmp/.*|/favicon.*|/.*htm.*|/RPC2|.*RPC2)$" {
Replace:
INI:
$HTTP["url"] !~ "^(/css/.*|/errors/.*|/fonts/.*|/img/.*|/js/.*|/qpxinclude/.*|/share/.*|/stream/.*|/tmp/.*|/favicon.*|/.*htm.*)$" {
and keep nzb360 connecting to /RPC2 directly.

I dont know why this issue happens.

Hello Silas. Thank you very much for your reply. I followed your steps in modifying the lighttpd.conf and now I can connect both within the local network and via the DDNS with nzb360.

However, I am not sure if I understand your other comments: You mean that this way we are disabling the account/password check and we need to disable the rtorrent-pro webui completely?

Yes an authorization is disabled now.
So if you connect with DDNS remotely this is insecure connection.
Please understand someone can login to rtorrent, use file manager and delete your ALL DATA on the NAS.

Please do not use method described above.

Contact nzb360 developer instead and report there are issues with authorization.
