I'm using a VPN and I switched from Transmission to rTorrent Pro because Transmission 3.x and 4.x wouldn't connect to http trackers properly. I had Transmission 2.x bound to QVPN tunnel successfully and the port configured with my VPN service stayed open 24/7, but if the tunnel went down then connection failed... that's how I prefer it.

These days I'm using Wireguard in QVPN attempting to use rTorrent. I couldn't get the VPN tunnel interface to appear in the interface list when it is not set to default gateway... I pressed refresh and nothing but 192.168.1.252 shows up in the list. So QVPN tunnel is now set as default gateway and it works like that, but I am concerned what will happen if VPN service goes down.

My main problem now is that my incoming port closes itself every 6 hours or so. When I first launch or reset rTorrent, it opens and the test works, but after some time it closes itself. Stopping QUFirewall service or app does not help. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this issue?

Thanks.

The rtorrent.out seems to be full of messages like this:

Rtorrent-Pro might dont support Wireguard. Wireguard is using interface name wg* instead tun*. This might breaks Rtorrent-Pro from proper working. There is no ETA when Wireguard can be supported by Rtorrent.

These days I'm using Wireguard in QVPN attempting to use rTorrent. I couldn't get the VPN tunnel interface to appear in the interface list when it is not set to default gateway...
Please update Rtorrent to latest version 0.9.9 build 0005
