Hi
First of all, I'd like to say hello to everyone as I'm new here as well as I'm a new (happy) rTorrent PRO user who needs some help with settings and appropriate config for private trackers.
Environment details:
Model name: QNAP TS-453Be
Firmware version: 4.4.1.1146
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 1x Samsung SSD 850 PRO 1TB (temporary - will be extended)
System settings: untouched (restored to default, volume fully wiped)
rTorrent version: V097 v0.9.7-0912
Internet connections:
-- LTE 100Mbps/50Mbps
-- Fiber 1000Mbps/1000Mbps
Use case: Seedbox + local PLEX server
As mentioned above am new rTorrent (and QNAP itself) user so if any of my questions were answered before, please provide me with a link and excuse spam.
1. Recommended settings for private trackers.
Mostly I'm using TL.org. I'd appreciate help with setting my rTorrent correctly (ports, forwarding, ipfilter, etc)
2. Port forwarding
Using default rTorrent settings I'm getting below warnings while NAT-PMP Data Transfer Ports is enabled (checked for various listening ports).
My rTorrent client reporting "port status is unknown" showing yellow (warning) triangle.
System log:
Router log:
3. VPN
In regard to point2 - got the same problem while using VPN.
VPN is meant to be enabled 24/7 later on. (currently using PrivateVPN via OpenVPN (TUN+UDP+1194))
4. rTorrent performance
I need help with performance improvement (in terms of speed) on my rT client.
I've tested a free version of qTorrent (with default config) getting 15-20% faster results in comparison to rT client
Tests details:
- same circuit
- same torrent with solid sources
- VPN turned off
- speeds measured and compared using router build-in monitor
5. UI settings
Not sure if it's only for me, however, the "RESET UI SETTINGS TO DEFAULT" button which should direct to /setup/restore_ui.php is not doing anything else than redirecting to 404 error page.
Hope to get some help guys.
Best regards,
anubis
