An example built with Bucket & Code Server IDE: IRC on the NAS, all built from source. Two clients (irssi and BitchX, both with TLS), an Eggdrop bot with Tcl, UnrealIRCd with Anope services, a ZNC bouncer with its web panel and Pure-FTPd with TLS. After install they run by name in an FAQ SSH login. The example project's setup wizard makes a small network from your own names and passwords, and one script starts and stops it, each program as its own user.

Install

Add the QNAP Utilities repository to App Center once, then install it from there: how to add the repository.

What you can do

  • Chat in irssi or BitchX, both with TLS
  • Run your own IRC network with UnrealIRCd and Anope services
  • Keep an Eggdrop bot in your channel
  • Stay connected through the ZNC bouncer and its web panel

Who it is for

For IRC users who want to run their own network or bot on the NAS.

Opening it

No page of its own: sign in over FAQ SSH and run a program by its name, such as irssi. The wizard that sets up a network is in the example project in Bucket & Code Server IDE.
