Transmission is a BitTorrent client. This package runs its server, transmission-daemon, with Transmission's own web interface. Every part is compiled from source: Transmission 4.1.3, its web interface and the libraries it links. It runs as an account of its own with its data in a folder of its own, on port 9091. At the first start you choose the web interface's password on its page; none is generated. An example built with Bucket & Code Server IDE.
Install
Add the QNAP Utilities repository to App Center once, then install it from there: how to add the repository.What you can do
- Download and seed torrents
- Manage them in Transmission's own web interface
- Change the download folder, the speed limits and the peer port there
- Use it as the download client of Sonarr, Radarr and Lidarr, which default to its port
